About Us

Our
Story
The Levels family, a tight-knit circle of nine, has built a beautiful life together, filled with laughter, love, and the joyful chaos that comes from being surrounded by our 14 cherished grandchildren. Our family has never been perfect, and we never aimed to be. In the messiness of everyday life, through disagreements and moments of silliness, we found something stronger than perfection, we found connection. It was through that imperfection that our love deepened, embracing our flaws and celebrating our quirks. At the heart of our bond was Dwan, our radiant star and the fifth of seven siblings. His infectious smile, fierce devotion to family, and joyful spirit lit up every room and lifted every heart. Losing Dwan created a void that words can’t quite fill, but his memory inspires us daily to live with intention, to love hard, and to stand strong in the face of hardship. His legacy fuels our mission.
Born from grief and driven by love, our family came together to form Levels of Life, an organization committed to creating positive change in our communities. We are on the front lines of the fentanyl and opioid crisis, working to raise awareness, especially for the young adults silently struggling under the weight of addiction and mental health challenges. We believe in meeting people where they are, offering knowledge, compassion, and real solutions. Many in our community are battling drug-induced mental health issues or living with untreated emotional pain, and we know the power of connection, education, and empathy in those moments. That’s why Levels of Life is more than just a nonprofit, we are a crisis-stabilization community center. We provide safe spaces, real conversations, and trusted resources. Whether through one-on-one peer talks or supportive group gatherings, we strive to be the bridge between pain and healing. Through it all, we carry Dwan’s light with us—reminding us that even in the darkest moments, love and purpose can lead the way.
